Euresys is launching Picolo Tetra, a new frame grabber for multiple standard cameras applications. This new Picolo acquires in real time four video streams simultaneously. Thanks to 3 video expansion brackets, Picolo Tetra also manages efficiently quick switching from up to sixteen cameras.

System-integrators benefit from a watchdog for fault-tolerant applications and from easy-to-use standard connectors. The board is featured with 13 on-board general-purpose I/O TTL lines to trigger image capture or interface with alarm system.

Picolo Tetra benefits form an expandable architecture providing up to three Video input Expansion Brackets fitted each with four BNC connectors. This leads to a maximum of 16 cameras connected. Video output Expansion Brackets are also available as an alternative to loop-through connecting the video sources. Picolo Tetra is MIO (I/O expansion module) compatible. Picolo boards come with different tools. The MultiCam driver makes easier the management of applications. The boards are also compatible with eVision, the Euresys image analysis tools. eVision offers C++ and ActiveX tools to read and record sequences of images using AVI files.
